Cassie Wells
Cassie Wells, who joined Genesis Learning Centers as Executive Director on August 1, 2019, has a personal and professional passion for work in the field of disability services.
Prior to returning to her roots and family in Middle Tennessee, Ms. Wells lived and worked in Illinois. Most recently she oversaw the Division of Autism Services for an Easterseals affiliate in the Chicagoland area. While in that capacity, she was charged with the revision and expansion of services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders across the lifespan.
Ms. Wells is currently pursuing a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis through Texas A & M University, which will prepare her to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst examination. She, also, holds an M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Louisville and a B.S. in Special Education from the University of Memphis.
In addition to her professional education and experience, Ms. Wells is, also, a sibling of a woman with Rett’s Disorder, a significant developmental disability. Her combination of both professional and personal experiences provides her with a unique ability to foster on-going, collaborative relationships between families, professionals, and community agencies.
